According to ThePRP.
Swedish melodeath-influenced metalcore act Thrown Into Exile have enlisted Arch Enemy guitarist Michael Amott as a guest on their new single “Remorse.” A music video for the track – co-directed by Mario Rubio and Robyn Racicot – is now streaming, ThePRP reports.
The band calls “Remorse” a personal song about how much of yourself you’re willing to give to something that ultimately leaves you where you started, and the emotional weight of past mistakes. Amott said he’d been watching Thrown Into Exile steadily grow over the last couple of years and that when Mario brought the opportunity to lay down a guest solo it was a “no-brainer” to team up with his “current tour mates.”
Thrown Into Exile guitarist Mario Rubio described Amott as “the master of melodies,” saying it was an honour to have his feel and phrasing on the song and to trade leads with him. Musically, the collaboration means listeners can expect an identifiable Amott guest solo and guitar lead interplay highlighted in the video.
