Richard Patrick told Rock 100.5 The KATT FM that FILTER's tentative new album The Antidote is 'moments away from being done' and is hoped for in early 2027; Brian Virtue is mixing and Howie Weinberg is likely to master it.
According to Blabbermouth.
FILTER are finishing a new album provisionally titled The Antidote; frontman Richard Patrick told Rock 100.5 The KATT FM that the record is "moments away from being done" and the band is aiming for an early 2027 release. Patrick framed The Antidote as a continuation of 2023's The Algorithm.
Patrick said mix engineer Brian Virtue is still tweaking mixes and that they are minutes from completion, after which the album will go to mastering – Howie Weinberg is likely to handle mastering. Those production steps are the immediate milestones before a release can be scheduled.
Patrick also gave song-level details: the opening track is called "Snakes In The Grass", which he described as like Short Bus meets a sequencer, and he said FILTER have been playing it live recently. He named co-written tracks with Sam Tinnesz – "Hell In My Head" and "Panic Mode" – as part of the new material.
Patrick said the album continues the industrial-leaning, heavy-but-melodic approach of The Algorithm. For recent context: The Algorithm was issued in August 2023 via Golden Robot Records, and August 2025 saw The Algorithm: Ultra Edition issued on No Pulse Records with nine additional tracks.
